| A monotype is a single print made by transferring to paper an image that has been painted on another surface. I prefer this form of printmaking because of the freedom and intuitiveness I can bring to the process. The application of inks upon the plate feels like painting to me and I find the rich colors of the inks exciting to work with. These are a few monoprints which I hand-worked with pencil, crayon and gouache after the printing process. | ||||||||||||||||||
